Privacy notice
How Weston Ark uses information from website enquiries, volunteering, event bookings and team accounts.
Weston Ark, registered charity 1208455, is responsible for the personal information it collects through this website. Our address is the Hughenden Centre, 25 Hughenden Road, Weston-super-Mare, BS23 2UR. Contact privacy@westonark.org.uk about your information.
What we collect and why
Enquiry and volunteering forms collect your name, email address and message so we can respond and discuss your request. Please include only information needed for your enquiry. Volunteering enquiries also record your permission for us to contact you about volunteering.
Event bookings use contact details, ticket selections, booking references, attendance records and payment status to provide tickets and administer events. Read the booking privacy information for more detail.
Team members sign in with Microsoft. We use their account identity and permissions to protect website editing, bookings and other staff tools. Service and security records help us maintain the website and investigate problems.
Our reasons for processing information
We use information to fulfil bookings, respond to requested enquiries, operate and protect our charitable services, and meet applicable legal obligations. Where an activity requires consent, we ask for it and you can withdraw it by contacting us.
Services that help us
Authorised team members and service providers process information needed for their role. Website hosting, storage and Microsoft email support our administration. When enabled for a paid event, Stripe handles card payments; we do not store full card details. Hallmaster manages room reservations and Stewardship handles donations under their own privacy information.
We do not sell your information. Some providers may process data outside the UK under their applicable data-protection arrangements. Embedded services and browser storage are explained in our cookie information.
Keeping and protecting information
We limit access to authorised people and keep information for the purpose it was collected, including any necessary financial, safeguarding or legal records. Retention depends on the type of record and the reason it is needed. Contact us to ask about a particular record or request deletion.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to access or correct your information and, where applicable, request deletion, restrict processing, object to its use or request a portable copy. These rights can depend on the circumstances and our obligations. Contact our privacy email to make a request or raise a concern. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
